When it comes to the Holidays, one word comes to mind...Moderation. There are so many temptations during the holiday season and breaking your diet and exercise plan is an easy thing to do at this time of year. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the holidays and enjoying yourself at all the parties....just do everything in moderation and you will be fine! Don't deprive yourself of a few goodies, while it may make you feel guilty, it will make you feel good as well. If you have been eating well and exercising regularly all year long, just having a few things will not ruin everything. Having way too many, on the other hand, is a different story. So this holiday season, have fun, let loose a litte bit and do everything in Moderation. New Year's is around the corner and is a great time to re-commit yourself to your program and focus on your fitness goals for the coming year. Launch Weekend at Gold's Gym Paramus
Once again, launch weekend at Gold's Gym Paramus, NJ was a huge success. Launch weekend consists of the launching of new releases for our incredible classes and a variety of special events. Thanksgiving launch was a lot of fun and kicked off with a "sizzler" class that was 4 classes rolled up into one. I have never seen so many happy and sweaty faces as those of the people taking that class. Next up was a great bike ride during RPM class. There is nothing better than taking a ride with 30 of your friends. After class a really interesting and educational Q and A session was held with national bodybuilding competitor Dominick Dichio and new IFBB pro Guy Cisternino. Training tips, nutritional information and great conversation about bodybuilding and personal experiences made for a motivating session. All in all this entire weekend was really fun, educational and most importantly, the members of Gold's Gym got to burn lots of calories!!!

Thanksgiving is a great time of year. We each get a chance to think about what we are thankful for. In addition to all the things I am thankful for like my family and friends, I am especially thankful this year of being part of the Gold's Gym family. In tough times like these, it is not an easy time for many people. During these times, Gold's Gym Paramus is able to provide a place for people to forget about their troubles for awhile and concentrate on something really important...their health. We have watched people change their lives for the better in many ways, thanks to exercise and this year that is something that I am very thankful to be a part of.

New Gold's Gym Studios Provide Exercise Experience
Gold's Gym Paramus, NJ is about to open 2 new, state of the art exercise studios over Memorial Day Weekend. These studios will amaze, entertain and provide for an incredible exercise experience unlike any other. Like anything today, providing an enjoyable and memorable experience for people is so important as it helps to engage and motivate in so many ways. With a stage for instructors, a light show and more, this is definitely something to be seen and experienced firsthand. Gold's Gym is inviting our friends into the club over Memorial Day Weekend to take a new class and try it all out. Hope to see you there!

Gold's Gym Paramus Expansion is Almost Complete
As with all projects, the last few weeks are always the toughest, but there is light at the end of the tunnel on our Gold's Gym Paramus expansion project! The hardwood floor for the new exercise studio is almost complete and the finishing touches for the new studio, new spin room, new cardio deck and new training area will all be "attacked" over the next few weeks.
This is an exciting time for all of our staff, members and the community as these added facilities will allow us to provide new programming options for people of all ages, shapes and sizes.
Once complete, we will be inviting everyone to come in and see the expansion as well as to try out the new facilities and programs.....stay tuned....

Gold's Gym Cardio Wii Game Hits the Market
The newest Wii Fit game is our very own Gold's Gym Cardio Workout! This Ubisoft game just hit the market and if you have a Wii, I highly recommend giving this game a try as it is more than a game...it's a true workout. The Wii fit is potentially an awesome tool to get "couch potatoes" and gamers of all fitness levels off the couch at home and into some fitness. From beginner to advanced, it provides a really good, interactive workout for anyone who plays it. It's fun and best of all, when I tried it, I burned lots of calories, which is what this is all about. For those looking to take the next step and join a gym, the game comes with a 7 Day VIP pass to your nearest Gold's Gym. I hope that kids and adults alike try this game at home and that it gets them moving and exercising....the Gold's Gym way!

Gold's Gym Paramus is Expanding
Gold's Gym Paramus is expanding once again. We are building a new, state of the art, high-tech exercise studio, a new, high tech spinning studio, adding more cardio entertainment and creating a really cool training area that will allow us to design programs for all ages, shapes and sizes.
Coming soon, this is a very exciting time and we are really looking forward to continuing to provide our members and our community with the finest in fitness facilities and services.

New Year's Resolutions Need to Last All Year
Every year at Gold's Gym in Paramus we see lots of new faces at New Year's. Losing weight and getting in shape is often the number one resolution on people's minds as the New Year begins. This is a good thing as it gets people to think about taking care of themselves and exercising regularly. Where people tend to make a mistake is to think that this is only something to try at the beginning of the year. If it was up to me, we would have monthly resolutions instead of just New Year's resolutions. When it comes to exercise, reevaluating your goals and reaffirming your commitment to your resolutions should be a monthly exercise, no pun intended.
Give it some thought and at the beginning of each month make sure you are committed to achieving your goals, make sure you have the right plan in place and make sure you will be exercising regularly all month long.
